God I hate this thread - as much as I hate having to go to Hobby I see that the old gym has gone as well. Seeing that was one of the Original Wigram Hangars was it saved or did it suffer the indignity of being demolished in the name of progress (and money)

Great to see a "Pinky" Crash12 in the background. I can confirm it had been raining that day. I was chatting with Pete Strugnell at the Museum (on base in those days) when he got a phone call about it. I treddlied back to the Crash Bay as fast as I could The Firemaster glared at me when I got the scene so I stayed well out of his way.
The Woodenheads did wash the area down there is a low pressure delivery attached to the pump outlet. The foam was just residue AFFF in the system not a deliberate foaming of the aircraft

I was there that day. It happened outside the CO front window! Wasn't anything for the Woodenheads to do except fill out an aircraft incident report. But I can't remember anything about it - unlike 6208. I remember that well as I was at the museum chatting to Pete Strugnell. I raced down there and the Firemaster was glaring at me.........

If anyone knows Warren P Russell contact him When the -G's were new (to us) and 2 Sqn had formed I took a couple of rolls of film for him on A-4 close-ups. I never kept a set for myself (like an idiot) and the negs are buried in an avalance of negs. I know I took close-ups of the 2 Sqn markings - hailin g from Wellington I considered it to be MY Squadron
The paint job they did on 1 Hangar was awesome as well

From memory The Viscount approach was faster than the B.737's so ATC had to be careful how they staggered the aircraft for finals.

Sorry to barge in here but I watched video footage of this thing flying yesterday so I thought you guys deserved the right to identify it. 1. I couldn't believe that it was actually flying 2, I couldn't believe the country of origin

It makes me wonder how the LAME cleared the initial defect, - if indeed it was ever written up. Therein lies the rub eh? (no pun intended)

Brilliant. Thanks Denys. For some silly reason I thought that NZ2328 was going to be a 'complete' Mosquito with HR339 being displayed as a fuselage only.

Given all the cutbacks the RNZAF has suffered maybe Beeching is the appropriate term (a reference to Dr. Beeching who slashed and burned Britain's railways in a massive cutback scheme a few decades ago). I'll go away now... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Brilliant Nah - stick around - we like you

So are these aircraft known as Beech, Beechcraft or Raytheon Aircraft Company B200's???
(I note that ZK-KHP is listed as a Beech B200 in the CAA site)
