The Continental/lycoming air-cooled flat four days are numbered by the looks. Their technology is pretty old though and it makes sense to utilise the growing diesel technology.
I can see it now,...P-51s and Spitfires flying with a turbo/diesel V12 Merlin derivative.....

Agree with keeping it in the General.
I had this indecision when I found out about the Galaxy coming in and wanted to alert the fellow forum-members.
Do I put it in General, or in Overseas since it's USAF or RNZAF Post-war as it may have connections with them? I figure General as most people would see it and those excellent pics were posted.

I read there was 83, yes, eighty-three Mustangs present there. One of the youtubes has a formation of 20 of them fly over in a "51". Check it out !!!

The Sabre is one absolutely beautiful jet. I'd also go for a Gloster Meteor, but only the WW2 versions as the later long ones are really hideous !! NICE !!! NOT NICE !!!

Indeed !!!! Apparently, a B-36 flying very high overhead could still rattle the windows of your house !!! I remember reading about a crowd that bought one in the early 70's with the intention of flying it at airshows etc. It was still virtually airworthy but the US Govt got involved and veto'd it stating that it could be a threat to the country given that it could haul a thermonuclear weapon......hmmm.... Sorry Flyjoe, it's not a fighter.

The other aircraft I would absolutely love to see at an airshow would be a "Magnesium Overcast". The roar would be tremendous !!!

Yes, they were used in Malaya. They were in service until 1956. Top speed of 472mph, just down from the Do-335.

They have quite a novel way of retracting - the main gears turn 90 degrees I believe, then go up.
