Agree wholeheartedly. Call it what it is. It is after all a part of aviation history that deserves its place. I loved seeing the three ship Buchon formation at Duxford but mainly for the fact that they were Buchons and they look great! Also think the Boomerang is on of the best WW2 display aircraft alongside the P40.

Cheers. Look forwrd to hearing the Spitfire story. Just hope we all get to see a Vengeance with air beneath its wings someday soon!

Sorry if you're upset by the replies but just trying to fill in information. I know the gentleman concern and was fully aware of the Australian histories and sad passing of the restorers involved. I certainly do not think the Vengeance was a bad aircraft, just poorly used. I can back this statement up by the discussions I have had with two RAAF Vengeance pilots who flew the aircraft in a variety of roles and separately stated it was a maligned aircraft (from non combatants)whose merits far outweighed its shortcomings.

Dade - simple, talk to the people who have ownership. Unfortunately there was no action on the airframes in Australia so it's up to the Kiwis now. Great to see an unfairly maligned type been bought back.

Jet race collision was nuts. Just glad no one was hurt.

Incredibly tragic. Regular airshow performer and a beautiful Yak. Has not been a great year for them in this part of the world.

That is truly incredible. Not enough acknowledgement about their WW2 contribution.

It would be great to see the Albacore and Fulmar be able to stretch their wings. Looks a little cramped. Don't remember Concorde doing anti sub pattols.

Congratulations Bevan. Must admit to being green eyed. P40 is my dream ship, even trumps the Spitfire. I hope this leads to much more heavy metal flying. You will be a much wanted man in years to come.

Rubbish! That's all it does in Queensland. More likely from the super dry southern states. Still too cold to go for a swim.
