Looks a little tail heavy. Cool build though. Not many 4 engined / highly polished homebuilts out there.

Convair looks nicer than the Boeings. Victim of poor (fuel) timing

Looks like the lovechild of Martin flying boats and a communist design bureau

I believe the site will be fully treated as a war grave. Despite the aircraft been some distance from the main wreckage (which is quite spread out) they form part of the site and perhaps should be preserved. I did think a TBD was raised from Lake Michigan serveral years ago.

Good on you Graham. Given everything that you and your team do at Omaka it would seem that the public are somewhat underappreciatve of the massive efforts (and expense) that goes into running all of your endeavours. A coffee and sandwich can cost more than $10! What more do they want,a side of Spitfire and a supersized Anson? If you want to be involved then get involved. If you have the time and interest there are so many opportunities. If I lived in Marlborough then I would certainly join up.

Still have my 98 cushion going strong. Use it for extra padding in my ocean kayak (they are fairly waterproof too). It has held up well. Very jealous of you guys going. Have fun and hope the weather gods smile down.

Hi Ryan. Don't know if it is still there but quite a few year ago there was a Mig21 at the Queenstown Transort Museum. Very acessible. Fron memory there wad also an Antonov Colt at Wanaka too.

Good thing Norway is not on his list of s@+#house countries. They may have ended up with a boxkite. Maybe Trump ment to say B52? I'm sure the Norwegian Air Force has a use for some surplus bombers

Two years ago we copped a 45c scorcher just south of Hobart on xmas day. Way too hot to even move. Don't envy you Sydney guys atm. Should get about 25 this year after a week of 30s.

They certainly had money before the sale so I don't know if this will change anything. The Canberra definitely won't be cheap to get airborne or operate.

Hope they make it ok. Submarines are incredibly brave. Not a place I'd like to be.

Given the Pitts was inverted a lot of the time, PTO was just right.
