The author of this might be worth following, he appears to know his stuff and his arguments make a great deal of sense.

Hi Dave, I like to if I can do it out of the box, with perhaps a small amount of scratch building. Was his A/C one of those fitted with the Ventral gun? I vaguely remember reading that at least one had a single 303calibe mg fitted.
Cheers

Hi Guys, I'm currently working on the Revell 1/72 Dambuster Lanc,a rather nice kit even though the wing Dihedral is too flat and the main wheels are too big, I've got a set of resin wheels on the way from BNA models and I 'm not going to attempt the wing fix it looks easy enough but....
As I'm wanting to do Les Munro's aircraft ED921 AJ*W did he have any nose art (I've seen pic/comments about a saint figure on all the a/c but the concensus seems to be they were painted post mission) or changes from the BIII special that I need to address. Also for aircraft serials is the W just an inverted Mor vice versa.
The included markings are for Gibson,Brown and Martin.
Any help /comments etc greatfully accepted Thanks

nuuumannn, thanks for sharing those are great photos. I note that Thames Airport now has a Hurricane on a stick,I'm fairly sure it's a pretty recent addition I don't remember seeing the last time I was in Thames a few days after the first lock down, but I could be wrong and just never noticed it.

Hi Aircrarftclocks, I don't know if this is any help just over a year ago my ex father in law passed away(Neil Manssen)he was an RNZAF instructor here in NZ and he also did 1 tour on Corsairs in late 44 early 45 flying out of EMIRAU in my memory is correct. I have had a look through his log book and he flew most types here in NZ and took part in interdiction missions when stationed at Emirau. I'm not sure if the ex or her sister has his log book but I can put you in touch if its helpful.

This is something I may have overlooked but is a comprehensive list of what is in the John Smith collection? We hear about the Mosquito and Gloria Lyons but I have no idea what else he had collected and stored.
Cheers

Just watched Greyhound. A solid 8.5/10. Typical Tom Hanks movie it's very good but not a classic. You can certainly feel the cold of the North Atlantic... also an interesting cameo by one of sons, there is some interaction them and it's eerie how much alike they look. A very good way to kill a couple of hours on a cold afternoon.

Hi All, This is a real newby question. But I'm curious. Assume I've won lotto and want to own a warbird after much searching I've found a wreck which can be recovered and rebuilt. What is the process please? who owns the wreck? etc and no I haven't won lotto so this purely a hypothetical question. Thanks

Just started watching this and yes it would be great for the RNZN to have this kind of capability, but we won't because it probably will cost too much, however the main reason will be it's designed and armed for war-fighting, somehow I don't think the French would be to keen to build one to civilian specs.

This may be a dumb question but in Nighthawknz latest photograph what is the purpose of structure with the windows directly below the bridge?
