Really nice photos Derek. It is so great that people are joining the forum to share their photos of this show. I hope you all stick around and continue taking part in the discussions.

It is, good spotting When the planes weren't flying the efforts of the security guys to stop people parking in line with threshold/overrun provided another source of amusement. Those guys are underresourced and underpaid, to the point where I lent a hand on a couple of occasions Aside from a couple of idiots who decided to stay put because they wanted an argument, the best line of the day was from a woman who said "but it doesn't look like the end of a runway!"... Couple more from that location:

This one is a fantastic shot Sam! Yours are very good too Peter and hope I can hone my skills on my new SLR for CF2011 to at lest get close to your standard!!!! Thanks Baz, Colin, Joe and Zac et al again for the compliments ;D Baz you didn't see the hundred plus or so deleted shots....I am pleased Keith puts two knife edge passes in his Corsair display, because I shambled the first one .

2x Royal Aircraft Factory SE.5A This is cool, I wasn;t really in the right place to get any decent shots of the SE-5s. I like the Herc pic too. Welcome to the forum

So VNM is still in Masterton? How will it get from Masterton to where ever repairs will be carried out?

I'm not sure the author of that actually went to the airshow if the paragraphs referencing the three Be.2's and Mustangs and Spitfires are anything to go by.....

Hi mumbles have to agree with you the author of the report was not present or knew nothing about aircraft. We once had a very aviation oriented press in masterton guess they need a bit of help now . I note that once again Tom Williams was ceo/ organiser for the event and by all the reports on this forum .apart from the weather it just gets better each year .

So what happened to the Mustang? Was it also weathered in somewhere?

Something I have noticed which is complete contrast to the last show in the forum reports, no-one here this time around has made any complaints about the commentary team. In 2009 it was a lot of whinging about a certain weather man. Was he not there?
