Excellent! Nice to see EHX. I can see the tail of WAW's venerable JetRanger ZK-HTM in the shot of EGK. Coincidentally, the EGK shot goes a little way to explain why I am the way I am: when Dad worked with WAW we lived in the house behind EGK's tail! ZK-EGKWanganuiPeterLewis1994x by Zac Yates, on Flickr James - interesting to see the extra fuel tanks on DZC. Always enjoy seeing working shots of any agplane

Zac's list - Part 5 (final) Marcus posted a photo of ZK-EUH around here somewhere, presumably its still available. Fletcher Fu-24 Mk.0 ZK-BDS, all at Rukuhia: 1960: 26Mar1966: 30Sep1967: 5Nov1978 (note script change): For those others of you who have been browsing this thread, I've been working off a list of 'wants' Zac emailed me. There is some pretty rare stuff included above. However we are still missing ZK-DZI ZK-DZL and ZK-WLP off his list, We'd both be happy if photos of these did surface. In the meantime . . . over and out

Excellent photos Peter! Getting on enough material so far to put together a book!
Would anyone have a colour pic of ZK-CBA in the Superair scheme, before it went to a walter? Used to spend ALOT of time hanging round this plane as a young fella.
Poolguy will probably know this one, what was the rego Dereks previous machine? Remember it was B?? and where did it go after he had it? cant remember!
Cheers

Does Derek fly CBA now? I was surprised to see he's still on the Super Air website as a current pilot, I'd have expected him to have seen the light and retired Thank you very much Peter! I haven't heard from Ray Deerness in a week or so, fingers crossed he has DZI and DZL. I should've asked John Harding when he was in for a check, the Hardings apparently have quite the collection. WLP I think will be easier to get once it flies again! Hopefully that's not too far off. A while back we discussed the new diesel Fletcher being worked on Down South....any progress on this? The blokes at work are fairly interested (anything to get rid of "that noise" and the vibration!). Another Fletcher book? Hmm....we shall see! I would love to get into one, but I've other things to think about for now. I have a mystery to solve. What/where/when/who? I'm looking for rego and photographer credit specifically, but date and location would be great. I initially had the rego as BHC, but WAW didn't have her in the fleet until 1971. That leaves BHE, 'J, 'M, 'T and 'Z...as to me it looks like a BHx rego.

Think Derek is in JAA now, He's probably one of the longest serving pilots still going As a matter of interest JAB is up for sale minus engine for $140,000

ZK-BII...went to Skyfarmers down south.
ZK-JAA......he's part time, but the Tauranga operation is pretty part time as theres not a lot of topdressing done in the area these days.

I saw JAB on TradeMe....tempting....except for the lack of engine. Anyone else think its a fairly steep price for airframe only?

Very steep, and with the price of a new lycoming will push it way past 200k, not worth it for an aircraft of that age.
One of the Johnsons ones went for about 80k

Hi Zac DZC was one of thoose ex Iraqi fu24s that Pete Rowely brought back to NZ. Two working tanks per wing, 80l per tank. Its a very poor design same as walter setup two very long narrow tanks per wing lots of unuseable and lots of cross feeding

Did one of ken Johnsons planes sell? which one? Im not sure James, They were on for quite awhile, started off round the 120 mark then saw quite drop on CMZ to around 86ish SAJ went to about 100k, then they both disapeared so I presume he sold them both, havnt seen them listed anywhere else since. One of them the engine was on lease.

That DZN shot is also at Wikipedia. The caption thingy says: "Fu24 a New Zealand Aerial Topdressing aircraft photographed in the early 1990s. this is not a very good photo - anyone with a better shot, please replace it." The user's online name is winstonwolfe and they have contributed to many, many NZ aviation-related articles on Wiki. I thought it looked familiar! Thanks James! Always interested to hear about the mods. I heard similar comments about quad tanks fitted to one of our machines. This may be a long shot, but does anyone have any info on TC-ARE, the former ZK-EGY (s/n247)? I have info that says it went to that rego in 1991, and this photo: TC-ARECagatayTitiz by Zac Yates, on Flickr Sadly the photo is no longer at Airliners, so I can't get date and location info. Is she still operational? With whom? Suggestions as to the Turkish equivalent of WoNZ where I could ask? And what would you call that cowl, a 952 maybe?

BHE I think you'll find, when it was flown by one of the Thorne twins out of Masterton or there abouts.
DZN photo looks like it was taken at Hamilton Airshow when WAW display team was flying 400's.
ZK-EGY would be FU-24 950 with the landing light in the front,as opposed to the ealier 400's that didn't have the landing light in the front.
