Thomarse-Western AirSpray had a green and white spraying Cub at Wanganui mid60's.
I have a slide of it-sort of sea green rather than skyblue.BTI was the rego.Still looking for the b/w shots up in the roof somewhere.I know there are many of the cubs.

Hi Thomarse have been looking back through my cub pics from 1964 69
Wonder if your blue and white cub may be BRP.Have a BW pic of it at
Fielding OCT 1966 BW with full spray gear . It came to Masterton sans
ag gear in late 68 69 in a blue and white scheme later going to a red and
white scheme owned by Rik Homewood .Flew BNP too ??

Recall way back in 1966 Jeff Sayer in BNP climbed to over 30.000
feet over Masterton But not sure if was some record but hey
not bad for a Cub

Re BNP, yep, flew her (towing and instructing - type and tow ratings) over there on a number of occasions between 1982 and her tragic demise 11/1/87.
Also flew BRP for a while in 1983 towing at Kaitoke, where of course she has now been resident for some years - if I'm not mistaken, she'd been back spraying with Rowley in between?
I guess she was Aerial Farmings? If so, I suspect she will be my Wanganui one. Standard 1957 scheme but blue/white, as was BNP in black/white.
I think that flight of Jeff's was a record, but maybe unofficial?
Interestingly, my 1957 Super Cub brochure states "Standard colors Daytona White with Cadillac Red" and doesn't list options. The Tripacer brochure for the same year lists a raft of optional colours, but black isn't one of them.

Here is our cub that was lovingly restored over 5 years by my father and me (mostly him) and his band of helpers. It was formally owned by Jim Frogley Snr and then Chris Pask before heading up north,where my father found it and brought it. It has since been sold (bugger!) but It is now back in the Bay again! Thanks for the pic of BOX which - if it's not just a registration that's been looking for an aeroplane - is the first I ever worked in. For Brian Doyle - one of nature's gentlemen - at Stratford. Loaded by my then house-mate, one of the industry's best-ever stand-up-comedian/loader drivers, the inimitable Lex Linklater! Later flew BTD for Brian -- and then for the New Zealand Ag-Industry's only-ever other Real Capitalist: Bruce Aitken, at Hawera, before moving to Aus and - at 23 - buying my first C-180 and becoming an operator. ZK-BNP....was the first aircraft i ever flew in. must have been 69-70 at Hood Aerodrome. I used to bike to the aerodrome from Landsdowne....something that none of my mates were into.
spent all week end holding gliders wings and recovery. My first rides were in BNP with a curly headed blond guy who let me in. I can remember being most impressing with spiral turns and my skin seeming to be slipping of my face!...so exciting....did it two weekends in a row before telling my folks. I wonder if it was you Thomarse? seem to think BNP was red white and blue then

BOX was also rebuilt in the mid '60s I think....daytona red and white scheme.

So thomarse whas it you?....seem to remember a head fulla curls; pilot was getting hrs up and was from over the hill.....(and not past it)..no worries anyhow....but it was very exciting; my first experiences with gravity
