On a very wet, cold and windy night in October 1959 a rain-soaked bedraggled gentleman knock on the door of the house where, as a 14 y.o, I lived. It was Bruce Cunningham delivering a ticket for me, who had a leg in plaster at the time, to view the Wellington International opening pageant from the comfort of the Wellington Aero Club upstairs lounge which overlooked the runway, A couple of years ago I was finally able to thank he for going out of his way that night to bring joy to a "plane crazy" young lad.

NZES wednesday, the rare sight of a 400 Fletcher EGS and Cresco PGE at play , A young fellow getting his Fletcher rating , no dusty stuff and the Cresco appeared to be doing simulated spreading .PGE on lease from Oz and returning there shortly . Was too busy mowing grass for silage to get my camera.
