I wonder if he might be the same man as the W J Iremonger who gained his 'A' Licence with the Waikato Aero club on 17 Dec 1937? Errol

NB: I have been informed that this remarkable lady was in the last WRNZAF intake to graduate from RNZAF Base Taieri in 1959. She originally joined as a Mess Steward but saw the light and became a CLK GD and then Senior Administration Clerk. Included in her service was time in the Base Ohakea Operations Centre which was probably the catalyst for her to become an Air Traffic Controller later on which eventually lead to her working at Heathrow airport. Billie and her husband were involved with Heli Harvest heavy logging extraction and fire fighting around the world and she was also very much involved in the Philips Search and Rescue Trust, was a marriage and funeral celebrant and a JP !

Very sad to hear about Billie. I first met her I not long after she left the Air force and started working at the Auckland Aero club. I met Grant early in the 60's when we were both learning to fly. Have not seen either of them for some time unfortunately. Mary and I married at about the same time as Billie and Grant.
