Great photos Guys and Gals, keep em coming! It was great to put a few more faces to names and I have a few "crowd" shots to edit and upload at a later date. ;D Some of my aircraft pics here: www.airplane-pictures.net/news.php?p=961Cheers

Love the last one with the rays of the setting sun Dave.

Those rays were amazing. I wish there was a Mitzibishi Zero to have photographed in front of them. The sky looked very Tora, Tora, Tora.

I'm not sure which is worse: Not being able to go to the show, or knowing I wouldn't have taken any pictures as good as most of the ones on this thread! ;D Thanks to all who have posted

Dave, those diverging rays of light at sunset are commonly referred to as "God's Fingers" but are more correctly called "Crepuscular Rays"... It's amazing what factoids get tucked away in the brain... I didn't even have to Google that (but you can do it now to make sure I'm not just making sh*t up)

I think the Vintage Aviator should make a Gotha bomber! Maybe they start out small with a wing nuts model?

Here are some very interesting statistics from Classic Flyers Media Manager Alex Robins
> Conservatively, 25,000 paying guests attended over the weekend, (down around 7000 over last time due to weather) plus ? children (who have free entry). Pre-sales were better than ever (double 2009) and so too were our Gold Pass sales, which were a sell out.
> 34% of tickets sold were from overseas clients. Of these the vast majority were from Australia but there were also visitors from UK and USA plus the odd Asia/Pacific country
> Aircraft - around 110 including itinerant machines. Display aircraft - 70 (not counting museum of course).
> There were 200 volunteers working at the event.

... I was pleased with the results I got from a rental Nikon D7000 and for its smallness it sure packs some real handy features. More pics to come later. Cheers I look forward to looking at those on a decent monitor tonight. I was going to ask you how to found the D7000. Is the autofocus better than your D2?
