Whats the Albatros's Jasta? (if that's the correct way of putting it). When I get Rise Of Flight I am joining an online squadron, Jasta 5, 'The green tailed devils', who also fly D.Va's.

Thanks Anthony...shes a nice looking aircraft. Woud be great seeing that in formation with Arthur Dovey's Yak-3 one day or in a dogfight with the FW-190

Ok now where were you sitting OldFokker? Because were were almost underneath them! Don't tell me you were sitting beside us?? Ah now I'm told by my brother that you had the large laminated forum sign and were sitting behind me!!! Thanks for introducing me guys!!!! (Yeah I know you were probably afraid I'd drop sauce covered chips on him!) EDIT: Who is this just to the right of Dave? Is he a forum member? Had an accent and was highly amused when he found out Al was towing the engine to do a startup at the aero club bar! Can you label any forum members in this photo (including Dave)? Nice, as it has been said, to put a face to the name.

In the light grey jacket with the little video camera is Gilles Kupfer, owner of the Fw190 replica based at Wanaka. He is a forum reader I think, and was one of my hangar mates for this and the last Omaka airshow. I'm the one with the basketball up my jumper. Baz62 (Barry Tod) is the one who's nodded off. And Steveh is on the end.

Now I know who is who. And before it gets lost in the endless thread swamp, that Albatroses Jasta?

Hi Baz and Lumpy. Yep, spent 4 great days lurking around the airfield - and the gold stand, but up and down more times than the V2 ! Enjoyed a chat with Errol despite the language difficulties - my West Island accent might have had him somewhat bemused Missed the sauce shower during tucker time in the terrace - but will be back in 2 years time for this superb airshow. I appear to have mastered the art of 'how to hide from the camera'
In Baz's (well Teresa's really) pic I'm sitting between her camera and Dave's camera, and in oldfokker's pic I can just see my left shoulder and am obviously leaning forward being obscured by Ken.
Nicely camouflaged really. ;D

A few more happy snaps OF Is that an inspection panel open on the lower wing?

That panel is the flap mechanism which sticks up through the wing if the flaps are down (or is it up?)...although the one on the other side doesn't appear to be up?

I also looked for you Jasper, although mostly on the Sunday until some ATC guy wearing a Mae West lifejacket told me that all the Nelson guys had returned over the hill on Saturday night

That panel is the flap mechanism which sticks up through the wing if the flaps are down (or is it up?)...although the one on the other side doesn't appear to be up? Well I never knew that about the Spitfire! I did know about the little pegs to show the Undercarriage was down, and I would have thought the flap mechanism would protrude with flaps down. I'd say the other side only looks to be down because the top of the little "hatch" is painted the same colour as the wing so blends in? Don't know why he would have flap down for a pass (being as there only 2 positions, fully up or fully down) unless this photo is of him coming round onto final?

Hi all,
It has already been said but fantastic shots - love the ones taken of the V2 as it was shredded. What a weekend, had a great time myself. Still recovering to be honest, we were up for the week but took another 3 days to get home due to weather and various aircraft serviceability dramas...
regards,

OF I remember you taking that photo ! I figured you were taking pictures of the comentators , so I avoided ruining it by staring at the camera with my tounge poking out ! I think this was when Baz still wasnt sure what he was eating , but he liked it ! ;D ( and no sauce ) !

It was great to meet you guys (Something I can't do with my LSP pals) After talking with Teresa, I thought I'd post a couple of clips that I shot with the Sony Quickshot. Not flash but you get the idea: Make sure you have your sound turned up for this one:
