Some more. Catalina landing. Messenger WDQ coming in to land. Richard taking off. Beaver in very low pass? Harvard coming in to land on the grass. Kittyhawk take off for display. Looks great with the tank? L-39 take off. Mustang low pass. Spitfire display. Love the sound of these warbirds. More to come. Cheers

Pity Strikemaster coud not go up. Never mind there will be other times in the future. Head on with a Dc 3? Gavin away for some air to air. Ralph one of the many volunteers that contribute to the days events, well done to all those behind the scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, and looking forward to the next one. Cheers

So many folks ("The Ralphs"....)work such long hours for these Open days at Ardmore... thank you.Shame about the rain and weather...but we did get action after midday. Bring on December 4th - Pearl Harbour Day. Dave Homewood - I will pay for your petrol to come up to Ardmore that day. If it wasn't for you buddy - we would not have this Forum.

Here is a shot from Sunday, was great to get these two together. Must say I love it at Ardmore, so many great people and every trip there leaves me buzzing for weeks.

Thanks for that photo, I actually flew in "62" when she was in the RNZAF and I was an ATC cadet!! Don't think the font is right though I think the 62 was much taller. She still looks great though.

Baz I flew these as well. Flew 60, 61, 63 flew solo in 60, but never flew 62 as it was in maintainence. We had 63 here at the aeroclub for a few weeks after the RNZAF let it go and I flew it quite a bit with Steve Scott. Was a lot of fun, the 160hp Tourer goes pretty well.

I am the guy who removed all the military serial numbers off the Airtourers the week before they were demobbed to civilian life. I never got to fly in one though, nor in a CT/4 either. I guess I should have joined the ATC to get all the good perks of the RNZAF? Dave Homewood - I will pay for your petrol to come up to Ardmore that day. If it wasn't for you buddy - we would not have this Forum. Thanks Jessica. I really do want to make it up for the December event if I can. I haven't been to a flying day at Ardmore for a year now. The Open Days are great and I really appreciate that people like Ralph and John Kelly and all put the hard work in to make them so regular.

Who from the forum will be attending the next show on Sunday December 4th?
That's like, next Sunday!! I hadn't realised it was coming up so fast, and am not as prepared as I should be but I very much want to attend, for sure. Especially as it is the 70th Anniversary of the entry of Japan into the Second World War, which is a big anniversary to mark.
Who's going to be there, and shall we meet up there somewhere?
Does anyone have a display schedule? Is the price still $10 each at the gate?
