Welcome back Darren. The game last night in New Plymouth was super with great game and the City really got behind both teams. New Plymouth with Americanna already get right in behind anything American and the flags and cars were out in big numbers. The Russians got great support as well. Great to see the DC-3 fly down with everyone dressed in russian outfits. Fantastic!

Great to see the DC-3 fly down with everyone dressed in russian outfits. Fantastic! This is actually what the spirit of the Cup should be: communities welcoming the teams and supporting them. Some good TV coverage as well-the DC-3 looked good...as did its main passenger (Miss World Russia! ) Apparently there were some other people on the plane too.

Great to see the DC-3 fly down with everyone dressed in russian outfits. Fantastic! No, not all. A mixed bag. Apparently, during the trip, the USA supporters sat on the right and the Russian supporters sat on the left!

It's a pity that the DC-3 didn't have an escort from a P-51D and a Yak3. It did looks great though, well done to the Dakota team.

I was glad the All Blacks won last night (knew that would happen) but I'm still counting on the Wallabies this evening

I think it was pretty moving last night at the beginning when the entire stadium held a minutes silence for the quake victims of Canterbury and Japan. And then when the PM John Key remained there and sang the National Anthem with the All Blacks that was a nice moment too. I reckon the little ball boy must have been so chuffed to be stood next to the Prime Minister in the line up. Something he'll never forget I would bet.

I notice all the Kiwis supporting Ireland as I believe that you all know the Wallabies will be a huge threat here for the cup (just saying)
