That TV 3 coverage was, dare I say it, quite a neat little piece. Isn't Bill just charming! Such a lovely guy.
Thanks JDK.

I really like your first pic, could almost be taxiing out of the hangar, c.1940! Beaut Gavin! I love living in this area; the scenery is beautiful round here! Whilst I cannot compete with the above image, I got a couple today.

Fantastic stuff - all of you involved.
Once again again TV3 trumped state TV! No I don't work for them...

Just got off the phone with Bill he is still on cloud 9 and who can blame him following such a significant day. He is really pleased with the handful of photos sent so far which from my point of view is great. We have decided to use this shot as the signature photo for the time being as Bill is getting lots of emails plone calls etc and said "It seems things have gone a bit viral" so we hope you enjoy the photo. 10 years of had work and a result such as this is amazing. This photo was taken towards the end of first flight, an amazing place to be. Cheers Gavin Oh boy, that's incredible. Great pics all around, thanks guys.

So are Dave Phillips and Sean Perrett both flying it now...?

Dave was in the left seat for the first flight with Bill on the right. Sean was in the left seat for the second flight with Dave on the right. Im guessing they nearly put two hours on the aeroplane over the two flights yesterday. No snags either

Awesome. I have precious few words other than awe, admiration and congratulations.
Nuumann and Gavin, thankyou so much for sharing your pics for those of us unable to get there.
And yes, Mr Langston did a great job. Well done TV3!

And yes, Mr Langston did a great job. Well done TV3! Indeed. When the rousing martial music started off, I thought "oh, here we go..." but the rest of the report was very good overall. And a good tribute to Bill and Robyn with their moment in the limelight. Well deserved, and a great event. Now there's some other British W.W.II twin to also get going in NZ, isn't there? Regards,

In my opinion this is one airframe that looks good in camo. Compare the same aircraft in silver and nope it doesnt have the same outstanding look to it. (esp in the air!)
Look forwad to seeing it up close. Well done!

Just superb! We have followed this project for a long time and it's well worth the wait. Well done to Bill and Robyn and all the engineers involved along the way, and the pilots.

Although I have had nothing to do with the project, I have to admit to have been quite excited by it living at work for the last two months and awaiting its first flight. I went and looked at it each night I went to work to figure out what else had been done during the day and to try and work out how soon it would fly. I even got to talk to Bill about it - and Robyn by phone and am quite in awe of what they have done. They are both such nice people as well.
Its still at work dripping oil into drip trays and looking quite out of place next to the ATR undergoing a C-check.
Thanks for the nice comments about my photos, guys.
