The 'shiny' Skyhawk Apologies for the quality...borrowed camera...sigh...time to upgrade my own one... They seem to have lost the outboard Aero 20s. Also, It's been repainted in rather funny shades of green. Looks like they've used FS24097 Forrest Green instead of FS34102 light green, and I'm not sure that darker green is FS34092, although it could just be the lighting. The grey is harder to pick, but I'll put money on the fact it's FS26118 instead of FS26081. No, It had the outboard Aero on the starboard wing and inboard Aero on the port wing...assymetric loading?..ouch! Also noticed the LE slats where locked in the up position. As for paints probably auto colours as per the Strikemaster that used to be at Ohakea?.

Here's how my airshow experience sums up. Being passed on the road in by a man on a mobility scooter, 8kms out from the base, and still another 2.5 hours to go... I don't think we ever actually caught up to him either. Before I get flamed... YES we did leave early. Attachments:

I'm currently a passenger on a train, travelling from Wellington to Masterton, but here's a wee appetiser (I resized these while going through the Rimutaka Tunnel, then went online to upload them after exiting the tunnel).... I'll post some more photos over the next few days as I work my way through them.

Lovely photos, everyone: love the ones of Beaver AZB - she's looks wonderful in her 'new' scheme.
Rhyno, your 'carpark' photo reminds me of a scene from a film called Office Space, where a guy stuck in the daily grind of peak hour traffic looks out his side window to see an old man with a walking frame passing him! ;D
