Ok sounds like a plan then. Maybe we should put our hands up as to whose a starter? Say for 7pm? Once we get numbers perhaps Grant you could book a table for us? Or I can do it (Not sure how popular it might be so an early booking might help. So for me there's 2. Actually I dont even think they take bookings Baz . Its an old English stlye pub , more bar leaners and stools , than " book tables " .Having said that , I expect they would appreciate some warning that a " group " was expected .

Looks like a couple of changes - the C-130 has bit the dust but a F27 is now on the bottom of the list!! Surely not the F27 in the flying list?
Still a very good line up although I was (and still am ) hoping that there will be a few more intersting machines in the WW1 section - FE2, RE8,Snipe DV111 or Albatross would be awesome

I doubt if you will ever see the FE2s at Classic Fighters. They don't even fly them at Wings Over Wairarapa.
There was an article in the Wairarapa Times-Age sometime ago (it may have even been as far back as two years ago) about TVAL, and where they stated that some aeroplanes (they specifically mentioned the FE2) would only ever be flown at their own mini-airshows at Hood Aerodrome.
I guess they are trying to keep their own events unique.

I am sure you are right.
I enjoyed 2 shows ago the BE2 and 504. Did they come over the ditch?
Nice too see something a little different

Typerated, the Avro 504K had just been completed after a long restoration by the late Stuart Tantrum at Omaka, so it was already on the airfield.

So I can get an idea of numbers for the Cork and Keg can everyone who wants to please reply with numbers and I'll see what they say. Like Lumpy said they might not take a booking but would give them a heads up.

Ok, so we held the AGM this morning and have now finalized details of the trip:
We depart AKL morning of Wednesday 27th, drive through to Paekakariki. Camp there overnight.
Thur 29th - booked on Interislander Arahura leave Wellington 10.25 am arrive Picton 1.35pm. Drive thru to Blenheim. We should be OK for the meetup/pub meal Thur evening Baz - 2 people. Camp Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun night on friends back lawn at Blenheim. Have airshow 3-day Gold Pass for me, one-day ordinary pass for M (and she can then go shopping).
Monday morning, leave caravan at Blenheim, after final sweep around Omaka depart for Christchurch. Stay with friends at Christchurch Mon/Tue/Wed nights. Thursday 4th - leave Christchurch for Queenstown, then on to Te Anau. Anyone know Rod Hall-Jones so I can have a look at the Spartan?
Booked Milford Sound overnight boat trip Mon 8th/Tue 9th. Then work our way back up to return to Auckland no later than Sunday 14th.
That should give the Gold Card a scare.

Don't forget to pick up the caravan!
Do you get cheaper ferry crossings on the gold card Peter, or is that just for buses?
