Brilliant pics!!! I'll bet each shot of the two in formation together had to be snappy, the 190 would've had trouble staying on station for any length of time...

You might be surprised :-) The Fw 190 could maintain position alongside the Anson and did so for 10 minutes before he set about ripping both aircraft apart!!! was quite a sight We were getting along at around 125 knots but quicker on the outside of the turns and Frank thought he may need a bit if flap but didn't which was great as fighters with flaps down do not look that great in photos like these.
Things are shaping up well for the show, one airshow meeting tonight, another tomorrow night and a few tired faces are starting to appear but we know it will be worth it and have a neat trick or two up our sleeves for the show :-)

Just looking at the props movement in the photo - the FW190 is quite a bit slower in rpms than the Anson, probably larger diameter too (not to mention the difference in pitch etc...) so a balanced match when slowed up - thanks for the lovely "teasing" photos Gavin!!

Very interesting it was too Dave. I was actually there in 1999 (dirty weekend) and the motel mentioned about all the aircraft at Omaka. Well the lass I was with needed a break so we went and had a look. It was very relaxed with aircraft coming and going and you could wonder round and look at all the aircraft. Quite a change to waht you get now!!
