Greetings all, I'm brand new to this forum, having found it after Dave M from Classic Wings sent me the link to this thread. Please pardon my panting and drooling over this unbelievable showing of Great War warbirds! I've been involved in warbirds for almost a decade but only in the past year and a half in WWI aircraft, volunteering at Pioneer Flight Museum in Kingsbury, Texas USA, where I'm now involved with the Fokker D.VII replica. I'm sure I'll meet some more of you that I've crossed paths with before and I've used the username that many know me by on another forum. blue skies & tailwinds, Doug Ratchford, aka. 'Canso42'

I really like the pix of the rotating rotaries. I'd like to hear from you lads on the photo technique involved since I regularly see a LeRhone powered Dr.1 triplane in action at PFM.

Talking of TVAL...I won't be at their Anzac Airshow on 27th April.
I actually applied for leave for that date (I was rostered to work a late-shift) and had it approved, so was planning to be there.
But then, one of the senior locomotive engineers in Wellington (who I have a huge amount of respect for) decided to retire on Friday 26th April and the lads are having a retirement dinner and function for him at the Petone Working Mans' Club on Saturday 27th April, so I decided I'm going to attend that. Living locally in Masterton, I get to attend most of TVAL's flying displays, so missing the occasional one won't hurt me. I'll definitely be there for the Remembrance 2013 display in November.
