I'm rostered to work late-shift on 10th November.
However, not to worry....I've put in for a lieu day on that date.
It shouldn't be too much hassle, as they generally approve lieu days on weekends, as its easy for them to cover the job using someone else.
Plus, I've got more than 30 lieu days accumulated and the company are jumping up and down about sitting on that many, so they're more likely than not to approve applications to use them in order to get the number down to a level which doesn't cause the company's bean-counters to squeal about it.

Got the lieu day approved.
Got the cameras and lenses sorted out.
Pre-airshow checklist complete apart from the weather forecast.

Any updates as to what might be displaying?
I haven't heard back from TVAL, and am thinking of staying up in the North island to attend.
Thanks

Thanks Errol (I see there is a use for Facebook) Thanks for the advice Johnny - just wanted to make sure worthwhile, otherwise I might have been trying to seek shelter in a hangar full of restoring Austers!

That looks great! Natural finish D.Va's are just so common these days it is nice to see something different. ;D ;D

Well, I've finally done it. I've gone and purchased a second camera body so I can be one of those sad-sacks with two cameras, so I can use two different lenses at airshows without having to change lenses on a single camera body.

Your sensor will thank you, airfields are terrible places to change a lens. Most of us use 'and a second body is a good idea' as a part-justification for an upgrade :-) A backup body is also good if the main one fails - been there, done that.

I shall be there. Look for the pale, sunstarved Jaffa witrh webbed feet.
Better be good - I turned down an offer to go beach landing 'Up Norf' instead.

Wow, five new replicas since the previous new one (first R.E.8 in January).
I wonder if there is any chance of another Snipe for Omaka?
We're so lucky, yippee!

The weather is absolutely perfect in Masterton today.
Well, almost perfect....sometimes it's nice to have a few clouds to photograph against and today there are absolutely no clouds to be seen anywhere. Only a gentle breeze in the suburbia part of Masterton too. I guess I'd better try and dig out some sunblock (or purchase some if I cannot locate any at home) because its going to be one of those days for getting slowly cooked by the sun.
