Clear but windy. A bit marginal for the early stuff.
Airborne were the Stampe, Tiger, Pfalz, 3 x Triplanes, 3 x SE5As, P-40, Camel, D.VII, 2 x D.VIIIs, and the Nieuport.
A reasonable show, but nothing new.
No Pups. No 504 No Be2s No Fes, No Albatros And although there was no Snipe there was a FOX.

Yes, the sound system was 50% too loud. Not quite so bad when there was aerial activity, but the Lady Crooner pre-airshow was actually quite deafening. Something should be done . . . Anyway, to the event. All three SE5a were participants. SE5a formations: Then they participated in a bombing exercise, using the TVAL tank as a target. F5690 / ZK-SEV B507 / ZK-SES D3540 / ZK-SEO The Addems-Pfeifer Nieuport XI ZK-NIM added a bit of colour to the occasion

Final item on the menu was a formation of late-war Fokkers. D.VII ZK-FOD D.VIII ZK-FES and D.VIII ZK-FEV Given the prevailing weather conditions, not a bad effort.

Yes it is ZK-JNB, TVAL Albatros D.II, #0094. (no V struts like DVa) ...And flat fuselage sides instead of curved. I seem to recall reading on the Aerdrome Forum, Koloman Mayrhofer built 2 Albatros D.II fuselages for a customer (this apparently, is one of them) so do TVAL have another D.II fuselage? Also, where have all of the rare Mercedes engines come from? Are they reproducing them?

I assume that when they rebuilt Kermit Week's engine and installed it on the the repo Albatros, they made made plans...

So how many types of engines do we think TVAL is producing?

Well they've done the Mercedes for the Albatros, then there's the rotaries for the D.VIIIs, the rotaries for the Pups... I'm unsure of what else they've reproduced but I'd say there are more!

So how many types of engines do we think TVAL is producing? They're website, which hasn't been updated for quite a while, tells us that they have built RAF1A, RAF4A and Oberursel engines. I haven't read or seen anything to say they are building any other engines although the capability is obviously there.
