Great Harvard paint scheme Is that an exSAAF Harvard John? Probably is as it has a springbok shield emblem on the fin.

I've been following the restoration of this Harpoon on WIX. Originally a firebomber they are doing a top job putting her back to her wartime specs inside and out. And that's 8 0.50 cals in the nose!! Would ruin your day with those pumping lead at you!

Hi VS..How was Oshkosh overall this year ?
I went for the first time last year and was overawed...however I have heard crowd numbers and displays were down a lot this year due to sequestration ...would be a pity.... I am organising a group of friends for 2014...just can't wait, but worried it will never be as good as the first - Dino

Apparently all the radio and radar gear works. Was amazed how much bigger than a Hudson it was

OK... so I've started going through my photos... rather than re-post them here I've uploaded them to Facebook (for those "friends" of mine) and also to Google+... Here's a link to the Google+ photos Slackie's Google+ AirVenture Photos. Best to run the Slideshow to get the full frame of each photo...it seems that some are clipped in the Gallery display. The first few photos are of my 7hr stopover in LA then the flight to Chicago O'Hare and Appleton. The last couple are from Appleton to Chicago. After the Oshkosh portion of my trip I rented a car and drove round SoCal going to as many aviation museums as I could find... I'll post photos of them in the coming days, although probably not in this thread... maybe Aviation Photography??

I'm still sorting through the 3500 or so photos from my overseas trip. I'm not sure when (if ever) will get around to posting them here... downscaling, uploading etc takes way too long!

Bruce, on the new forum you do not have to downscale, it does it for you, all photos fit to the width. That cuts a considerable chunk of work out of the job.
