I have been working away behind the scenes making changes and lots of additions to the Airshow Archives pages for my website. I have now split the Airshow History section into decades, and you can look through each decade chronologically. I have tonight placed the updated pages online so you can all finally look them over. All these pages remain a constant work in progress, so any details, additions, corrections and names or regos that you can offer would be most appreciated. If you get a chance please have a look through your own airshow photos, your collection of airshow programmes, your magazines and AHSNZ journals and your flying logbooks or spotters notebooks to see what you can add. Here's the new Airshow History menu page: www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Airshow_History.htm

Dave, one missing airshow is the one held during the official opening of Hawke's Bay Airport on Saturday, 15th February 1964. I was at that airshow. See THIS THREAD for info about some of the aeroplanes which were displayed.

Also, I've got programmes at home for the airshows at Gisborne during the 20½-years I lived there.
I'm in hospital at the moment, so don't have access to them, but I'll hunt them out sometime over the next few weeks and scan the relevant flying-programme pages so you can fill in some more gaps.

Thanks Bruce. Yes there are lots of missing airshows, I add stuff as I find it. So anything people can offer like this is much appreciated.
Are you ill or injured? I hope all is ok. Get well soon.

I have updated this page on Civil display teams. I am sure many people here can fill in more details on various Harvard team performances, so can you get out your photos, notebooks, airshow programmes and AHSNZ journals to help fill in the gaps? www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/Airshow_Display_Teams_Civil.htmlThe same goes for the other display teams too on the page. I am sure the Wanganui Aero Works Team and the Venom-Mustang pair did far more appearances than I have for example. Help Please!
