Starting to work my way through the video from the weekend - a bit hamstrung by the time it takes to upload though (no ultra fast broadband in our street until mid 2017 despite the pacific cable terminating only a couple of kilometers away) so I'm doing it in small, bite sized segments. Thanks Stu for the effort and posting, Dave a brilliant last weekend for all then, Love the Dick Lambert chat , amazing the sort off work one gets if your honest , tonight must be another 'Dambusters' watch ... Shssss I really did watch the 'Battle of Britain' again last night ... I better follow up on Part 2.

Thanks very much to Stu for kindly filming and editing all these speakers so those who didn't come can also enjoy them.
I know a lot more of you guys took photos on both days, I'd love to see more photos please.

Peter Mason, who attended this last Forum Meet, has made the suggestion that we could hold another forum gathering at the Te Atatu RSA, which has the right sort of facilities for such a meet. he is involved with the RSA and can set it up, and he says they have the gear for showing films, which is handy as he is a filmmaker and he'd be keen to show an interview he did with the late RNZAF fighter ace Johnny Checketts as one of the items on the agenda. I'd also get a few interesting speakers of course, such as veterans and other aviators. As it is so close to Whenuapai maybe we can attract some currently serving personnel to attend too.
I am considering we could look at this perhaps in late October 2016. Who's keen, and what else can you suggest for the event?

I'll probably attend, esp if there are liquid refreshments handy! Then I might stay a night haha!

Thanks guys. I have just been discussing this with Bruce Cooke who is always an enthusiastic co-organiser of these events, although he sadly missed the last one. But hopefully we'll get him to the next one, as usual. We've been milling over dates and there are several things that may well clash in late October and early November, and then we get into the silly season which I will not consider doing anything during.
So we think we're looking at mid-late January 2017. So that would give us plenty of time to organise and members plenty of time to plan around it too, especially any who might want to travel from afar. We'll keep thinking and planning, so watch this space. And if you're interested, tell us please. I don't want another case like the last one where there was a general lack of interest almost right up till the day, because I will simply scarp the idea if that's the case.

I'm keen. Don't forget the memorial gun pits at Te Atatu.
