Maybe expecting a bit much but hope there are some visiting machines outside the museum's collection?

Maybe expecting a bit much but hope there are some visiting machines outside the museum's collection? The RAAF may be a bit quiet after finishing the exercises in the top end last week and finishing up back at Willy in fine style. Whilst not a formal display seems half of Newcastle drove up and checked out the “dawn strike”. Classics aplenty and Rhinos and Growlers, F35s and a Herc participated, the latter which I heard stole the show with a impressive low turn. Here’s a vid.

Planecrazy, hope you have a good day at Temora tomorrow.
Temora Aviation Museum have just announced via ther FB page that the Q&A session before tomorrow's flying program will be with Museum President and founder Mr David Lowy AM. Given recent announcements about aircraft ownership, that may be an interesting Q&A session to attend.
Unfortunately, as much as I planned to be there tomorrow to enjoy what looks to be a good weather day with a good flying program, I've been struck down with the head cold doing the rounds at present. So I'm going to have to depend on others to let me know what kind of day it was and hang out until August for my next visit to Temora.

Few pic's from yesterday's Temora showcase, harsh light conditions for photos so some not the best, well worth visiting, never too crowded, bit of a hike from Sydney but great roads. Quite a few gems in the collection and they do it well! Oldest airworthy Tiger in oz. World’s only airworthy Hudson. Matt Denning in the Boomerang he started restoring as a teenager. Matt Denning and airshow commentator Pete Anderson, after each display Pete interviews the pilot, always interesting. Only airworthy single seat Meteor in the world. More pic's here.......... rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/27739/temora-showcase-june-2019

Okay, I think I know where I will be next Wednesday morning around 10.00AM, cameras at the ready. Hopefully we will not get a foggy morning like yesterday and weather forecast for next Wednesday doesn't look too bad at this stage, altho it could still be rather chilly that time of the morning.

McMaster, exactly!! This is one of those occasions where finding the right spot will pay dividends and the early photographer gets the spot and the shot.

This is super niche even for an aviation forum, but Mel is one of the many pilots interviewed in the Australian Bicentennial Air Show video from 1998. He's not in the version on YouTube but he can be seen in the NZ broadcast version and the official VHS. I'm not joking when I say I grew up watching the one Mum taped for me!

A few photos from this morning's flypast at the RAAF Change of Command Ceremony in Canberra. Weather turned out a bit cloudy in parts, but was not too cold up on top of Mt Pleasant. Good sized crowd up there of photographers, aviation fans and people from ADFA. Before the flypast began, this one was heading northwards and leaving a nice set of contrails. QANTAS A-380 by Colin Ford, on Flickr Growler was first through. They then reformed and landed over at Fairbairn to refuel before heading home.
