Probably a little overdue, but time to list the Australian Airshows and known Flying Day dates for the remainder of 2019.
26 February to 3 March 2019 – Australian International Airshow 2019, Avalon, Victoria. Open to the public on Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March 2019.
16-17 March 2019 – Lake Boga Airshow and Splash-In, Lake Boga, Victoria
22-24 March 2019 – AAAA National Fly-In, Echuca Airport, Echuca, Victoria
6-7 April 2019 – Hunter Valley Airshow 2019, Cessnock Airport, Cessnock, NSW
13 April 2019 – Valley View Air Display, Valley View Farm, Geraldton, WA
13-14 April 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum April Weekend Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
4-5 May 2019 – Wings Over Illawarra 2019, Illawarra Regional Airport, Albion Park, NSW
19 May 2019 – Rathmines Catalina Festival, Rathmines, NSW
19 May 2019 – David Hack Classic Meet, Toowoomba Airfield, Wilsonton, Queensland
8 June 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum June Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
31 August 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum Father’s Day August Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
7 September 2019 - Airlie Beach Airshow, Airlie Beach Airport, Airlie Beach, Queensland
28 September 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum September Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
12-13 October 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum October Weekend Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
26 October 2019 – Nhill Air Show 2019 ‘Centenary of Flight’, Nhill Airport, Nhill, Victoria
30 November 2019 – Temora Aviation Museum November Aircraft Showcase, Temora Aviation Museum, Temora, NSW
Temora Aviation Museum 16 March, 27 April and 11 May 2019 Aircraft Showcase dates previously advertised have been cancelled. As TAM have indicated, cancellations are primarily result of commitments with other major airshows or due to lack of availability of pilots due to other commitments.
Out of those listed above, Wings Over Illawarra 2019 could be the one to include both the return of the 'old' in the form of some the recently acquired RAN FAA Heritage Flight aircraft on static display (or maybe something slightly more active for a Tracker), plus the 'new' in the form of a couple of projects that have recently been completed, or are nearing completion.
So that starts the discussion for 2019.
