Judging from the list of participants and displays Edinburgh should be fantastic. Large contingent of warbirds - the old ones - plus all the RAAF's new toys. Morning and afternoon shows same both days. Morning expect gliders to music, Heritage trainers (CT4, Winjeel, Harvard), Wirraway, Hudson, Boomerangs, Matt Hall MXS, Hurricane, Spit, Mustang, Russian Roolettes (Yak52 and Nanchang). Afternoon expect Catalina, C.47, Caribou, P.40, Mustang, Spit, Meteor, Sabre, Neptune, Orion (HARS), A37.
RAAF Roulettes PC.21,C.27J, C130J, F.35, 3 x FA18, KC30A, E7A, Poseidon, MH.60R, C.17, FA-18F Super Hornet.
Should be great and a lead-in to 2021 100th Anniversary which should be BIG !!

Peter Hallen has messaged me to say this show is on the 9th ad 10th of November, so not far away now. And he's sent this updated layout map:

I've just realized that there is a possibility that I will be in Melbourne around then... If I am on the wrong side of the ditch for the weekend it will be worth the hop to ADL.

No mention of F35s on the map hopefully that’s an omission and they are not being hidden away from the public. Or it’s as the crazy Orangeman says they are literally invisible.

Hot today ADL 36 then a cooling early next week down to low 20s then likely cranking up again for the show. I'd take a hat and sunscreen maybe best to take 2 hats and 2 sunscreens.

That's interesting......my run sheet for the show details "Jonathan Ward", former FA-18 display pilot, as the display pilot for the F.35......guess all shall be revealed in the fullness of time !

Meant to add....sitting here in the motel at Nhill in Victoria about to go to the airport for the show today. Flew into Mildura yesterday then down here in an Arrow. Dry as a chip, the big local lakes all dry and dust devils all over the place. Last night a front came through and in typical airshow manner, its raining lightly outside now.....they really need it but perhaps tomorrow would have been better !

Off to Adelaide in a few hours. The amended show programme is even better so all we need now are the weather Gods to play ball. Should be a great two days. Just received the F.35 display routine......very impressive and a big dig to the Classic Hornet drivers.... nothing like intra-service rivalry !
