With this and the 1:1 material being shared by both Pioneer at Ardmore and Precision at Wangaratta we P-40 fans are getting a great fix at the moment!

I'm rostered onto a project operating out of Wangaratta in a few weeks, so I'm hoping to get a tour through their facility. A few of my co-workers were there a few weeks ago and it was reported as really good. Hope to get some ideas on how the wing is all fitting together as that will be the next big push once the horizontal stabiliser is completed.

As a P-40 fan I'm very jealous, but as a modeller I see that as an incredible opportunity. Good luck and I hope you're able to visit and get some questions answered. If you're allowed to share photos I'm sure they'd be well received here

Peter, that startup is fantastic! And I thought I was excited for this project before - you've just taken it up several notches!

Thanks Zac. I have a small geared brushless motor, that I am planning to incorporate into the transfer case. Couple this with an electronic speed controller with a staggered start sequence and it should give a realistic start up resembling the starter being energised before engagement. I’ve also been researching electronic smoke generators that fit into small trains.

A question for the group. Planning ahead here a bit.
Does anyone know of or have a .ttf font file that accurately represents the RNZAF font used during WW2?
One of the kids has a Cricut, that can make fine detailed vinyl decals .etc. Hoping to set them a task of recreating all the small decals, starting with those on the horizontal stab, fin and rudder.
Thanks for any leads.
