I'm in awe of your skills, determination, and effort. What a monumental project!
Where did you get such detailed P-40 drawings?

All I can say is WOW!!
Whereabouts are you based nzgrasshopper? And what is your ultimate plan for the model? Will it go into a museum or on public display somewhere?

From Nelson, living in Oz. Started looking for plans etc. back in '97, finally found them around '03 from aircorpslibrary.com. There are 2 versions of the P40. The first DVD I got was not scanned very well and roll E of the microfilm was rescanned a few years later. There are over 6000 drawings for all versions, spent a lot of time placing the N model drawings in sub folders to make life easier. When finished, may end up on display at Omaka. Then it will be onto a Corsair.

Holy crap. This just gets better and better! Wow! Well put Dave. This is one of those builds that for once, that oh so hackneyed word, "Awesome" is most appropriate. I'm truly in awe of your work NZGH. Steve.
