Finally back into it again. Bottom skin starboard side between Web #2 and Web #3 and Sta #27 and Sta # 122. Still some finishing work to be done.

Managed to find some sealed containers along with some other tools in Japan, so finally have most of the small fixtures sorted in one place.

A bit of progress over the weekend, A lot of time spent lately trying to figure out the best way to assemble the wing structure. Very hard to set rivets when you can't get your mit into inspection, lightening hole to place a bucking bar. Planning to preassemble as much as possible flat skin panels and then join sections in the jig that was made a while ago. Port side Web #1 with some of the stringers and the fuselage Sta #1 attachment bracket. Port inner leading edge. Back of Web #1 Plan is to attach all the sub assemblies either side of Web #1 and then rivet the skin onto Web #1.

Mind the dodgy soldering, didn't want to get too much heat into the body and have angle change, took forever to make this piece the first time round. Due to this section being on the front of Web #1 and installed through the bottom skin, I have added the captive nuts to allow the bolts to be installed from the back of Web #1.

Lovely work Peter! The team's doing the starboard wing on NZ3043 at the moment so if I mirror these pics the parts are looking very familiar!

It will be a pity that all the lovely internal work will be hidden behind the skins, at least we have this thread to see all that art. An understatement, a fair bit of what you are doing is way harder than it looks!

VERY rough mockup of the port wing. Outboard leading edge and inboard underside trailing edge panels to make and then the riveting can start.

Moment of truth, it all fits nice and flush. Some of this riveting is a bit average, primmer and a coat of paint will cover it up.
