Onto completing the port landing gear fairings and doors. Still a fair bit of internal pieces to install before Web #1 and #2 can be riveted in place.

What - no rivets?
Good luck with the panel beating.

What - no rivets? Good luck with the panel beating. Plenty of rivets in this section along with captive nuts etc.

Picked these up today. Internal diameter is 1 mm over the oleo leg diameter. Should be able to shim that out. The outside diameter could be more of a problem. These were the last pair. Hopefully when they are sectioned out there are enough pieces to make both sides

Started my off duty to a delivery of goodies, which have been installed to complete the hydraulic hand pump. Operational pumping movement without any pressure. Video

Looks more like a finger pump... But brilliant workmanship!

Operational pumping movement without any pressure Does this mean it's going to have pressure? As in work similar to the real aircraft??

Operational pumping movement without any pressure Does this mean it's going to have pressure? As in work similar to the real aircraft?? There are a couple of compression springs in the bottom barrel, either side of a threaded ball, which provides resistance as the handle is pivoted about a hollow ball located in the area of the rubber boot.

Assembly of the Port main landing gear door. A bit trickier than I first thought. The forward section (right side) has a forward curve into the front fairing, so out with the Dapping block.

Some more work on the Port main landing gear leg. 3 sizes of K & S tubing shimmed the bevel gear out perfectly.

The bevel gears I have currently are the correct diameter, but have a coarser thread. Need to do a bit of trimming of the rear flange.

Next step is to pull most of this apart and finish the port retraction unit. Put it all back together to test the retraction cycle. have found a delayed timing circuit that should allow the gear to retract in the correct sequence.
