Top side of the port wing tip finished. The silver section is a packer that the main wing skins sit on, bringing the two surfaces flush.   Shaping the bottom skin. Have found a technique that makes forming the skins a lot easier and leaves a better finish. Rubbing the dapping ball end over the paper plans stops the aluminium from grabbing the chrome plating.   |

Arrived home to another delivery of parts. The large flat head screws are long way down the track, will be used to secure the wing root and empennage fairings in place.  |

And yet another delivery. Don't know where I would be on this project without AliExpress. A long way from being required, 1/6 scale 44 Gal drums. There are a few more items coming to make the final diorama look authentic.  |

Both wingtips are now finished and ready to be fitted to the main wing panels. That is still a little way off yet though.  |

Heading away for work. Planning to get back onto the landing gear when I return, can't keep putting it off as it is holding up assembling the leading edge onto Web #1 and Web #2.
The Port main gear retraction unit needs to be finished, then I have to figure out all the brackets that hold the strut rotation bevel gears, and side sway linage. Once that is sorted, the landing gear doors and fairings need to be finished so all the blind nuts can be installed on to the skin panels.
Going to be a few sleepless nights ahead....
