That is a lot of work just in those two photos.

Cut all the shapes out and filed the holes a few years ago. Trying to get all the small parts made so I can get the port wing in the jig and line everything up before drilling out the skins. The leading edge ribs are going to be a bit tricky.

Have you decided which scheme to paint her in? I know that stage is a way off but I was curious as I reread the thread.

Have you decided which scheme to paint her in? I know that stage is a way off but I was curious as I reread the thread. Not 100% decided yet. Leaning towards the yellow Pacific scheme, mainly as this was the scheme at the end of her fighting days, and the original will be displayed as cared for by John. Having the two on display would show case a wider history.

That's beautiful! Those links - are they each hand-formed or otherwise mass produced in some way?

A bit crazy, but not totally nuts. The .50 Brownings and ammo were available from DID around 2008, but are no longer available. Managed to get 6 guns and enough ammo to make 6 belts x 127 rounds each. Would be nice to get enough ammo to fill all the cans. At some stage the tips will get painted to identify the various rounds.

The belts look very realistic.

Been stuck in WA since Boxing Day for work with border restrictions. Have been using the time to order more rivets and alloy sheet. Hope to be able to get back to making stuff in a couple of weeks.
Very pleased to see Gloria back on her feet again, looking fantastic.

Been a few changes at work, so training new people and covering extra shifts. Hopefully will be able to get back into making stuff shortly. Another package arrived in the mail yesterday, a gun sight kit.
Have a belly fuel tank kit on order as well.
