! won't be there this year, it'll be the first time I've missed but as a result of an accident I can't climb the stairs at the gold pass stand and neither could I stand around for three days and as well as those problems I no longer have my motorhome which means no accommodation. Sorry to hear you wont be there Shorty.

good to see Omaka being active
I am sure you people; that run favour (or try too) with the Local Council have a proposed arrangement where; where that land could be suffocated because of proposed development / houses ............................ that you can go to a better / safer spot - I'm sure this would have to be the case - no matter how secure you think you are at the moment ?
............ I think you'd be a in a great negotiating position
make sure that you cater for this option - you kiwis are breeding and requiring more places to sleep (AKA. go away BL*&^y noisy planes)

The website states that the Lockheed Electra has been withdrawn 😪 I don't think it's actually flown yet so that's understandable, a shame though.

Also the Spitfire MkXIV landed at Woodbourne after the engine sounded very rough and left a trail while approaching Omaka. I managed to get a lot closer to the Mossie than I expected (while actually being useful), thanks Al! A few photos from me being added to this album. www.flickr.com/gp/errolgc/mn87aWb7Rv

The photo you have of the FW190, is the white winged aircraft over in the back ground a Widgeon by chance? Loving the photos so far.

This morning they were working on it.
I've just posted some photos of the Wacos
Was damn cold earlier, the overcast is starting to lighten however.
The Spartan is 003, which happens to be one which came over in February.

Hope the Spit problem is resolved and it can participate during the two airshow days. Are there still more aircraft arriving? A gaggle of Harvards passed over NZPP yesterday on their way down

They sorted the mag issue on the MK XIV so she flew for the Saturday show, however it happened again so she didn't fly on Sunday. Unfortunately for me I had a similar issue and had to go to hospital by ambulance as I had pains in my back and belly and nauseua. So I missed the afternoon show and the V2 blowing up! Fortunately Don (skyhawkdon) got a video of at least the final explosion. Turned out I had a kidney stone so after some pain relief and a CT scan and feeling much improved I was discharged. This is where the Forum is great as you make friends on it. Lumpy (Grant) lives right across the road from the hospital so as Don and Blair(another friend of ours also ex RNZAF A4 man)were having dinner at an Indian restaraunt, he and his wife drove the 100 metres to pick me up so I didn't have to walk (Such nice people ) So got to meet their 14 year old Lab who I was told was going to bark at me as I was a stranger......nope he just sniffed me and went huh its only Baz. I've had no pain since last night so hoping its "moved on" I now have course got to put up with decades of ribbing about this escapade, and the indignity of missing out on the Mosquito engine run raffle because old "I'll go first" Don Simms bout the first two tickets and I bought the next two......and he won! I don't mind donating money to the Mossie crew but I'm not going to hear the end of that either! It's all good fun I don't mind, we had a great time up there in the bar after the show, got to chat to Easty and conrgatulate him on his engagement to Zac Yates............that's right isn't it Zac? And of course listening to all the stories!!
