Cheers Gavin. I've only seen him with goggles, helmet and scarf...

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the details about the pilots and your kind comments Dave. The shot of John and James was taken on Thursday. Lucky bugger! The caption could be interesting. "A very intimate moment". Rather like when we do up the belts on our Clients in the Formula Fords. A very attractive young lady was getting a bit claustrophbic one day so I jokingly said to her, "Lie back and think of England." She bounced back with something like, "I'm not like that!" I let the response go through to the 'keeper. At least it took her mind off her concerns and she drove the single-seater well.
I thought I would post these as the people themselves might like to see them.

It was actually interesting to see that photo because I'd never thought much about the back seats and how difficult they may be to get in and out of. You'd have little chance of escape from the back seat if anything went wrong I'd imagine, because it's not like a Mustang where the canopy releases.

I know Stuart who runs their website. I should tell him to take a look here. Thanks Dave - only taken me 2 weeks to reply to your post, not bad by my standards. In this regard, if anybody has any photos of NZ Warbirds' aircraft they'd like to add to the site (list is here - www.nzwarbirds.org.nz/aircraft.html - but it might be a tad out of date) feel free to send them to me via email or point me in the correct direction on this forum. If you have any really magnificent shots - of which there seem to be many here - that aren't of NZ Warbirds Aircraft I can put those in the guest gallery. All credit will be given to the photographer Many thanks in anticipation, Stu.

Hi, and thanks, Dave. Sorry to disappoint you but the avatar's actually an experiment involving a screen grab from "Pacific Fighters" and Photoshop. For the record, it's a (virtual) Mk. Vb.
I'll try and find a halfway decent photo of an actual aircraft to use at some stage (once I've figured out how to take a halfway decent photo that is).
Cheers, Stu.
