I found some information about New Zealand pilots and other airmen in the books with the Australian Official Histories of WWII. I assume it´s the same with the history of the Australian Flying Corps during WW I (no time to check them yet). www.awm.gov.au/histories/index.aspSee also this information about Squadron Operational Record Books (mostly Australian units): forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=5448This info comes from the forun 12 O´Clock High: forum.12oclockhigh.netIt includes some posts with New Zealand connection. Cheers Peter

Hi all forum members. I'm researching Aermacchi 339CB markings hope you can help 1What is the wording of the warning notice in yellow on a black rectangle, concerning emergency canopy removal by a cord & handle, seen on each side of the nose 2 What is the shape & text if any of the wing tip fuel tank stencils & how many are there. 3 What is the shape , colour & text of the warning around the instrument sensor probe - if that it be - on the starboard nose nearby the squadron crest 4 Nearby the grills on the fuselage spine by the red beacon , there is a stencil like an inverted capital T with 2 smaller lines. What is the nearby text & is this repeated on both sides. Many thanks for your help, Alastair

Senior RNZAF Officers WWII-1990
Would you guys be able to assist with the accuracy of the follow biographical research reference and / or provide additional information so I know my historical data is up to scratch. There are a few missing dates and question marks over some positions – titles.
Also I hope that it may help other History Buffs / Researchers by posting it here. It was a reference basis of a history project that I abandoned a few years ago and probably will never finish.

One way is to click on "Our Discussion Forum" in the "Our Services" menu and then type New Zealand in the search engine. Good Luck.
