It really is startling how real they have made it, very nice to see.
How far does it go? I wonder if it has the WWII hangar at Fairhall which is apparently still there, and if you can go as far as Renwick and The Delta? If so, can we see some shots please?
And can you go real low and get the Renwick Pie shop please. I want to see if it's open now, it wasn't when I took Corsair67, Asterix and Parrotfish there. They still don't believe me how good the Renwick pies are. :-)

Those shots of WB and OM are pretty good, even the grass has been mowed.

Gavin, out of interest, are you able to set different weather and time of day with this programme?
Is that the Picton airport on the right of the Edwin Fox building?

Yes, you can play wth the weather and can even have real time weather downloaded from the internet and I was flying in conditions earlier that were exactly what was happening out side but its not always 100% accurate. You can down load winds at altitude as well. Yip that is where the Float Plane parks next to the Edwin Fox.

Renwick Bakery used to make pies called large aromas, which were steak and a wee bit of vegie, or mince and vegies, very flakey pastry. I remember they were very well recieved at the joe wagon.

Hey Dave , just had a look on google earth for the hangar you keep mentioning at Fairhall . Its at 41degrees 31' 21.59" S , 173degrees 51' 27.63" E . And no, there is no airport at picton ( except the harbour for the float plane ) the picton airport is at Koromiko - and is the last shot .

Thanks Lumpy. I don't have Google Earth - apparently it will take about three days download time with my slow net connection! Is there any chance of someone posting the photo please?
Beagle, your last post cracked me up.

at least it is cheaper than doing it for real.
Dave, I did have google earth but tried updating it but a bug got in or something and I cannot reload it at all so i use google maps which is more or less the same. Real fast. Then again I have broadband at 7.6 meg

That's amazing! Robin really has outdone himself - that looks like Marty Nicoll's car outside the Antique Aeroworks hangar! WOW! I'm really looking forward to receiving my copy! Had it on preorder for the better part of the past three months...sadly it's being delivered to Wanganui.... Dave, I think you'll find that's a *Fokker* Trimotor, the famed D.VII.VII.VII. That's kinda funky Gav, how'd you manage that?

Im not sure why it shows three engines but thought it looked cool Not only is that Martys car, you can also just see the rear end of Stuart Tantrums 4x4 parked in the hangar

I didn't see GMO's neat little Alfa sportscar outside the AHC though. Must be his day off.
