NZ6205 in the AMS hangar at Ohakea, while it was being used as the demonstration aircraft Refuelling at Hasanuddin as part of a goodwill visit and overnight stop. Can you see what's in the background? TNI-AU SU-30 taxiing out behind 77 SQN RAAF Hornets.

Looks wet. It would take a fair bit of hail to damage a Westwind I presume?

It's always blue on top, but stay away from those CBs Not exactly state of the art! Westwind cockpit. Perks of the job. The family came over to Perth for a week, looked quite funny to look back and see the kids in their car seats on the rear seats. Woomera rocket park in the middle of town.

Superb stuff, it's really good to see a few different types of subjects. The rocket park at Woomera is especially interesting, my late friend Pat Monk who designed the Airtrainer worked previously at Woomera, he may have worked on some of them in the photo.

These photos were taken at the same time. We're at 33,500 feet and the hills look like they're almost level. Cathay flies a route to and from Europe via western China (Urumqi) into Kazakhstan called Y1 and the mountains are very tall. I don't think many other airlines are game to take it on, as the special procedures in case of depressurisation or engine failure are very complex. You may be able to see on the Nav display that there's a left turn coming shortly - that's to keep us away from the rocks!!

Flying over China is very interesting. Takes a few times to get saying your flight level in metres right I found!

A pretty poor video off the camera of the Indonesian Su-30 and RAAF F-18s doing a flypast. As the hornets were joining on the Sukhoi, the lads all had the HUD tapes running and in Air-to-Air guns with the pipper on and the hammer down, getting some greatest hits footage. Never mind that he was in a 30 degree AOB turn waiting for them to formate on him!

Barnsey, great shots, any idea how much longer CX are going to keep the -400 in pax service? I also see the EICAS advisory that you have 1 pack off...fuel saving? or company SOP?
