A shame about the wing in that last photo, I was taking the picture from the shelter of a caravan on the airfield. How wet was it? Ask this guy:

Some of the Skyhawk nose oleos appear to be rather deflated. Here is the only photo I took of NZ7272, sitting outside tail-less.

I didn't take many photos of the course this year, but I'm sure one or two other members here did and maybe they will post some.

wow thats some serious rain!! Those poor Skyhawks sitting out in it. Interesting to hear some are being worked on. For the "sale" or ongoing preventative maintenance I wonder?

Yep serious rain alright. In the second of your A4 pics I thought is was a black and white pic until I made out the grass in the bottom rh corner!! The Iroquois and Herk pics reminds me of the days working at the RNZAF Museum from 7 hangar on Sundays and ATC activities back when the base was active. Those were the days.....

A couple from a trip back to Dubai from Heathrow..... Kinda highlights the trouble you have shooting pics through F/D windows Our aircraft B777-300 A6-EMS, couldn't read the rego of the 400 freighter, other than I'm fairly certain its a TNT airframe on wet lease, operating for Emirates Skycargo until the 747-800's get here next yearish... He's at FL370 doing Mach .84, we are at FL350 doing Mach .85 (running late as normal cruise is .835-.84) 10 minutes after sunrise, 30 miles west of Baghdad. Apologies for the reflection...

I would have had even better pics to show..we were given a radar heading to fly which meant we pulled alongside the freighter....with the corresponding awesome colours reflecting off the contrails as the sun hit at just the right angle...unfortunately..they then got the same radar heading to fly..spoiling the shot :-(
