The fact that there were security checks. Remember that in NZ back in the '70's and '80's, a domestic aircraft boarding was just like getting on a bus (walking outside to the tarmac and climbing up stairs to get into the friendship/viscount/737). Ah yes .. now I remember .. We had to protect ourselves against flower bombing Kiwi's in Cessna 172's ... And anyone who wants to respond... keep it light ... I am not into politics.. but I could not resist the chirp Ah yes: 1981. Not a thing one forgets (though of us who lived through it).

Correct, its a Soko 522 being restored to fly. Probably more famous in the West for its role in the movie .."Kellys Heroes"
