You're right, there are four there, and of course '49 and 35 are thankfully still with us.
I think you're right, I had heard before that the nose art logo was used on several No. 40 Squadron aircraft but had not seen evidence of it before now. Cool!

The "Anything, Anywhere, Any time" insignia was the winning entry in a June 1944 competition for a standard squadron marking, to celebrate the first birthday of the unit. There is a photograph of the CO of the time (Jack Adams?) along with the adjutant and somebody else looking at a drawing of this design. The intention was that all squadron aircraft would wear it in due course, but this never really happened, probably due to the large number of aircraft in use, as well as half of them being allocated away for the use of 41 Squadron about three months later. I reckon only about three or four C-47s ever received the marking, plus one C-60 (the latter would be one of the aircraft transferred to 41 Squadron). Dave D
