Narrative: The pilot was on his second solo flight in the glider and was being winch launched, when shortly after becoming airborne the glider veered to the right of the runway centreline at a very high nose up attitude. Shortly thereafter, the towline back released and the glider immediately entered a spin to the right which was not recovered in the height available. The aircraft struck the ground a short distance from the airfield and the pilot received serious injuries.
The glider got too nose high on the winch so the automatic back release functioned, leaving the glider nose high with little airspeed. Stall, spin, impact.

Spartans were bought in to sit between the CH-47F and C130J it has more options to where it can operate from its faster than CH-47F Any bets on the ADF aquiring V-22 ospreys to fill that gap when the Spartans go? Fast, reasonable payload, land anywhere.

IIRC the only real difference between the green/green/tan and green/green/grey was literally the tan was swapped for grey. I painted enough of them back in the mid to late 90's to not need to refer to the drawings when we did touch ups. I don't think I've kept a copy of the drawings though, an email to the RNZAF museum would likely help you out. Ask for DENG 7504. The colours we used were Dark Green 34079, Light Green 34102, Dark Grey 36081. Cockpit interior was black, cargo area was matt dark gull grey. Floor load spreaders were Dulux Durapave grey. I have the UniverseJ font if you need it to make decals.

This site is great for showing you upcoming satelite passes, you can put in your location and you'll get a streetview view showing you where in the sky to look in relation to constellations. james.darpinian.com/satellites/

Probably under the making part, he might have had a camera in a bathroom or something. I recall at least one person I know got done for exactly that, hidden camera in the bathroom and turned on when his step daughter had visitors over etc.

The depiction of the albatross on the tail was approved by me when the P3's changed from the original scheme to the all grey. I wrote a change to the policy for "combat" aircraft which stated that they could carry the squadron crest (centre image) in a toned down form on the fin in lieu of the fin flash. The reason being that the squadron crest is unique to the RNZAF owned aircraft whereas the fin flash on the tail and being the last item to arrive at a crash site and usually surviving was the same style as the RAF one. The Orions carried the Albatross before the single grey scheme too. www.flickr.com/photos/adelaide_archivist/14538159071

Plenty of ex Tornado pilots are now in the RAAF? At least 3 on the Sqn I'm on. And confirmed today that 1 of the ex UK and 1 exRAAF exchange on the sqn has this aircraft in their logbooks.

Do you mean in terms of a connection between this airframe and Australia? Yeah. Plenty of ex Tornado pilots are now in the RAAF? At least 3 on the Sqn I'm on.

I use this one, doesn't seem to be super accurate for StarLink (or it assumes great conditions) one but not too bad for the rest, also has clickable links, interesting to see that piece of space junk is a booster from a launch in 1963 etc. james.darpinian.com/satellites/
