Off the top of my head, the Sprite is 26440 with 25357 markings, as for the rest I'd have to look them up. Can do on Wednesday and let you know. Yes, Richard is gone and I just got back froms Tubb's dining in/out. Rather spectacular evening with 90+ there, I went to bed at 0630 the next morning and it was still going.

Hate to be picky but I just about always see that modelers forget to add the scoop shown in this pic between the wing and intake. Its the one under the white reflective tape. 'Tis indeed a beautiful model though. www.gibstuff.net/a4_alley/images/a40220002.jpgAdded after the Kahu apgrade to cool something, I forget what exactly though. Les.

The gap is there because its the low viz version of the fin flash, the white having been omitted. A small gap was the norm in place of the white.

I'd guess it felt pretty good after watching the a/c hit the water. Probably felt a lot better than most of the sqn did the next morning. After losing Muzz Neilson a month earlier I know my heart hit the floor when we heard '56 was down. It was about 10mins before we found out Barnsey had ejected safely and was busy paddling his raft. First live use of the single seater to save a life. There was one hell of a party in the W/O&SNCO's mess that night, the base turned a blind eye to the fact that most of us weren't eligible to be there. The armourers gin bucket was one or two or three to remember. I only made to the end of the second one, then couldnt believe it when Barnsey turned up to the S&S/Arm 'debrief' with a bottle of gin!! Sorry for the hijacking, Les.

After a particularly bad trip somewhere on an Orion, the crew wrote up one of the may faults as "Aircraft appears to be cursed" the corresponding fix was "Aircraft blessed by Padre" and it in fact was, complete with a sprinkle of Holy Water. Les.

About 600m to the east Dave, I had a look thru in the weekend while I was in the area. Nothing much had changed althought it was good to see some of the ACF memorabilia displayed. Les.

The first shot is Raoul Island if the files were marked correctly at work. If not Raoul then its one of far out islands the Navy resupplies.
That is one of ours Dave, just fresh from the factory and not handed over yet ;-) I think we were the first to have a Maverick on a Sprite and had to fire one to do stores clearance, there video of it at work. I'm not sure what tail no it eventually became though.
There's been no live firings that I know of but I did see that 2 are in the programme for later in the year sometime.
