Mitre10 have kids 3M Peltor ear defenders. Pink or Yellow/green neon. Bunnings too I think. Other brands and colours are out there as well.
If you do get some, let them wear them for fun before the big day.

Space station? As it spins you get intermittent flashes from the solar panels.

I'm also aware that a Piper Cub used to use Ellerslie Racecourse occasionally around 25 years ago. I think the racing club director/chairman owned it?

In one of the Graeme Cosgrove sub collections there are 6 photos that look likely for this event- 2 of AZA doing a touch and go, 1 of a Fletcher flying overhead and 3 of an Airtruk doing it's display.

Re the Subritzky's: the 'shed' is a hangar (that Don built originally, now owned by the Aero Club). And the Vampire is separately owned.

In Auckland you could see how receptive the Subritzkys are.

Bit of a poor response from John, he should have had an answer for that.

Rego, because that's what the column in the logbook asks for. There is a column for flight detail which is where you could put the flight number if you wanted.

Besides which, the fancy software would cost millions to develop, more to run, need upgrading as soon as it's installed and not actually work anyway, then be mothballed 1 week after implementation. But our fees would have to go up to pay for it, and we'd keep paying forever for the staff to run it, even after it's mothballed.

Though the prop is fully feathered, not how it would normally be left (see the other photos for comparison). so maybe a bit more to it than normal pre-heat.

No, the US has quashed the aircraft swap around idea for the reasons proposed by Mustang51.
They have however said that individual countries can do what they want with their own aircraft (i.e. sell, lend or gift).

academic now, but I suppose the thinking was that there were more pilots and crew available than airframes (recent retirees and reserves). Plus allows for airframes destroyed on the ground etc.

The implication seems to be that the aircraft would be attrition replacements. Plus how many reserves are there currently without aircraft?
