Fear in the Night and Wings Over the Pacific are on my bookshelf. Have you read 'My Pacific Star' by Harry Deane? That's also a good read by someone who flew GR and BR Operations.
I'd definitely buy a copy of your book as well. Is there anyway we can assist?

I've listened to all 4 episodes so far and it's interesting stuff.
Can't wait for episode 5 about NZ aircrew who served with Coastal Command

Yes sorry, my mistake, the interview you did with him is what I was referring to, I may have posted in the wrong thread. I believe he did another tour on Ventura's with 9 Squadron before going onto Catalina's? I bet he had a few stories on those tours as well. I enjoyed hearing about the Hawker Hinds as well

Just listened to this again, his story would make a great book as well.

According to my great uncle's records he joined 4 Squadron on the 01/01/1944, so I will be following this thread with interest.

Air Gunners would be mostly employed for ground strafing I presume.

Was a great thread to follow, interesting to see what kind of sorties my Great Uncle would have been involved in. Looking forward to the 1944 thread.

Are there records for other years available? Such as 1943 and 1944?

A small American newsreel featuring NZ P40s and Hudson's. The beginning involves a B24 strike over New Guinea.

To be honest I'm not sure, I didn't see anyone recording but then again I was in the second row so someone could have been recording behind me.
