Peter, Neil Falconer built a Spencer Aircar at Gore, I think the redgo was personalised. Its nose is poking out of the hangar in the photo of the yellow Phoinex fletcher a couple of days ago.

Thats like the jet that pulled along side the herc, jet pilot says: watch this and does a barrel roll around the aircraft and slides back along side. Herc pilots says: watch this and dissappears out of his seat for some time and returns.Jet pilots says: what did you do, Herc pilot says: well I went to the toilet, made a coffe, had a sandwich and came back, and your still there.

One would hope a tractor would nose over early and smash the prop, would you be game to leap in and shut it down?

This dramatic footage from Austrailia, says a lot for either chocks, tiedowns or someone in the seat.

Re Bruces comment,we wre sowing peas and oats together off the Ranfurly strip for a farmer in the paddock next to his house, had only sowed a load and he came racing down and said his wife was going balistic.. the peas were bouncing all round the house and even shooting up the hallway when the door was open.with the spreader the peas were going about 100 metres out to the side.

Hi Dave, I downloaded Daves interview, but it made an ogg file and I can't open it, can you suggest a way of saving it so my XP can reuse it, also the same with the Burt Munro story. Dave was at my wedding, in his wheelchair, my wife used to go to Martins bay and cook for Dave, but went shopping in Invercargill instead of going with Dave the day he crashed, the other twist to it Dave said if he took Lyn with them they would have gone straight to Martins Bay and the engine out would have still happened but the outcome may have been better.

They have a V-16 engine developing 2160hp, burn 20 lph idling and 400 lph working.still a cresco burns 400 an hour doesn't it, but it can't put 260 tonne on its back.

A while back I was in Blackwater inland from Rockhampton, Queensland, these cats weigh over 200 tonne empty and cart 260 tonne, the excavator weighs 500 tonne and has a 30 cubic metre bucket, most six wheeler road trucks cart 6 cubic metres.I'm standing in front of the truck, only come up to the bumper, imagine how big the digger is.

Great photos, especially the 2nd shot of EUF, it makes the statment "she's FULL" These guys seem to run with the oleos quite hard, at least the flaps won't sink down onto the mud-guards of the loader. Some-one a while ago was asking which side a dual control is flown from the cockpit shot shows this well
