They say a fantail is a sign of snow to come. Greats shots Gavin,(all your shots are great) looks like he forgot to put the nozzles on the spray booms. Can i ask what settings you use as there's no way mine come out like that.

Does anyone remember the story in the Wings mag a few years ago about the rooster, that crowed annoyingally in the mornings so it was taken aloft in a tiger and thrown out hoping it would meet an end, but it just glided down crowing away, landed and carried on its daily life as usual. This became sunday entertainment for some time until the SPCA found out and stopped it. Does anyone know about it and where it took place.

I see EMC in the video clip has/had the oil coolers in the square ducts under the bottom cowl, same as EMA did, Correct me if I am wrong, but these were part of the batch that were to go to Pakastan and would have had air conditioning fitted as well if they went. The nose was quite draggy so the 954 came with the air cleaner turned side on with the landing light to one side and the bottom of the cowl much smaller. An old loader operator gave me a couple of pointers once. 1. If you dent the plane leave the bag in the hopper so he can't open the canopy to thump you, you can then have a chat to settle him down. One had to be carefull the fletcher didn't sink onto the mudguards with the flaps, and not stall the truck or the pilot might roar off giving the elevator a wrenching. 2. This old guy used to smoke rollies so when he wanted time to roll on he bumped the load up a bit so to quote: will take him another 40 acres to turn around.

Dave, this young fellow was on Close-up last night 9-6-09. Very keen to get airborne as soon as he is able no regrets, amazed all doctors at his speed of recovery. You may be able to see it on tvnz website.

Last October I got a tiger ride voucher for my birthday and took it last saturday. A bit cool but a great time was had, flew it a bit and then was treated to a couple of loops, wing-over and a stall turn, fly-by for friends. Thanks Ryan, will do it again in the summer

Sorry Pete you're right it was 1977, should have looked at the back of the photo, do you have a photo of the fletcher he flew from Wigram to Austrailia and back to celebrate Kingsford- Smiths, about the same time.
