Welcome to the forum Juan Carlos. I guess your interest comes from the fact that Peru has purchased our retired G models. Look forward in due course to be able to corelate the identies of these aircraft.

Hi my name is Alex, a massive thankyou to the makers and users of this website. My interest is in my Grandad George Eric Fowler RAF DFC, I was searching for information about him and found more than I ever knew on this website. He served with the 75th New Zealand Squadron. I'm seeking as much information as possible about him, as I can share it with his daughters and grandchildren. I've emailed the BBC regarding an LP recording of one of the sorties he was part of over Berlin, my mum and dad both remember listening to it. Showing my mum pictures of her dad was emotive, but hearing his voice again would be a whole other realm of emotions I feel. He spoke fondly of those he served with from what I'm told, I've the uppermost respect to those who've created this memory treasure trove.

Hello fellow aviation nerds. > What's your name? Pete Russell > Where are you from? Grew up in Wellington, now in Christchurch (via ~6 years in the US). > How old are you? 31 > What is your main interest in aviation? Is it historic? Airlines? Military... Airlines, military, flight training, ... everything. > Tell us about your background in aviation. Are you just an enthusiast or have you got more hands on experience? Are you a pilot? Do you have an Air Force Background? Or a civil aviation background? Starting flying while I was in the US and have an FAA PPL, IR, and tailwheel endorsement. Moved back to New Zealand and have converted my PPL, and recently started on my CPL training (and tailwheel). Plan to continue through MEIR and continue down that path. Would also love to get involved in the NZ Warbird community, and have a crazy dream of flying warbirds one day (one day!). > Do you belong to any aviation groups, like the NZ Warbirds, RNZAF Association, Royal Aeronautical Society or CAF, etc? Yep! EAA, AOPA, Classic Wings subscriber. > Are you an aircraft modeller? (Scale or R/C) Nope. > What are your favourite aviation books? Fate is the Hunter. Forever Flying (Bob Hoover). Flight of Passage. The Starship Diaries. > What are your favourite aviation films or TV programmes? - TV: Ice Pilots NWT. Flying Wild Alaska. - YouTube: Elliot Seguin, Premier1Driver, Stevo1Kinevo, FlightChops Guido Warnecke - Films: The Spirit of St. Louis, DANGERZONE. > Do you frequent other aviation forums? Yep. Reddit, PPRuNe. > Have you any comments or suggestions for this forum, to hopefully improve your own personal usage and enjoyment on the forum? Juuuust getting started, nothing yet. Cool to find a spot like this to come and nerd out! Thanks

I'm a CAC club member too. Not current at present but I usually fly the Club's 140 DUP at Rangiora when I do fly. Plus I've got my Auster project in a hangar there.

Small world! Hoping to get checked out in DUP soon — the weekday rates sound too good to pass up. Have been flying the Warriors and Alphas so far (and mostly Cessna before that). Would love to check out the Auster too if you’re out there on the weekend and don’t mind visitors.
