Seagrove in August 1942, what unit would have been there then? Was that No. 15 (Fighter) Squadron before they went to Tonga?
No. 17 (Fighter) Squadron arrived at Seagrove on the 17th of October 1942, and No. 25 (Dive Bomber) Squadron formed there a year later.

trees,
Brian Thomas Hayman, 134094 RNZAF Looks more like a non-regular (TAF, CMT, etc) number to me, remember that in 1949 the 70,000 and up series (regulars) and the 130,000 and up (to 200,000?) series were introduced for the new, unified system of armed forces service numbers, and all the old numbers were cancelled.
