was given a death notice for George Sudlow. It had no mention of his service details but I'm quite sure it is the George Sudlow that was at Wigram for many years. He was an Inst Fitter, and retired as W/O of 2TTS. I first met George when I was posted to Wigram in 1960 as AC1 Radar Mech u/t . George died on Dec28th in his 90th year. A private cremation was held. Messages to the family of George to c/- PO Box 39001 Chch 8545.

Ah no, I am so sad to read about Tom Duxbury's death. He was a lovely bloke who I have spoken to on several occasions regarding my book project. His nephew is also a wonderful bloke, David Duxbury. Both have been a huge help to me.

Tom Hullena must have continued flying until quite late in life. He owned a series of Cessna 180s, BFE (lost in the MS fire 15/5/65) then I think BUF and finally a "J" model DPsomething until perhaps the mid-80s

Wing Commander Eric Webster RAF (R’trd)
It is with great regret we have to inform you of the untimely death of Wing Commander Eric Webster in a tractor accident on Thursday evening. Eric was a founder member of ClassicFlyersNZ (indeed, it was he who coined the title ‘ClassicFlyersNZ’.) He served as a Board member until recently and in the last few years until now he was also our Maintenance Controller for our aircraft fleet. Details of the funeral will be announced when known.

An Air Traffic Controller from Christchurch Tower has been confirmed to have died as a result of a building collapse in the inner city during Christchurch earthquake on 22nd Feb 2011.
She was a vibrant, bubbly, and fun loving person. Jilly is survived by her husband and 2 children.
